Lovincruisin1321 Posted January 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2023 Having hip issues and Princess Excursion states, "30-minute walk to site". I was on the Stonehenge website and there are shuttle rides from the Visitor Centre to the stones. Wondering if the "30-minute walk" is to the Visitor Centre. Can someone clarify this for me? I would like to not stress over this and enjoy this visit. No, a wheel chair is not an option. Thanks in advance 🙂
John Bull Posted January 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2023 (edited) Princess' phraseology is grossly misleading.😟 Less than a 2-minute walk from coach drop-off point to entrance / visitor centre. From there an almost-continuous free shuttle to the Stones. Yes, alternatively you can walk in about 25- 30 minutes - some do, most don't. https://goo.gl/maps/H3tPvTxmKksuUUEX9 (zoom out to see the Stones.) I wonder how many folk are needlessly dissuaded by Princess' "30-minutes walk"🙄 JB 🙂 PS Your coach will drop you by the entrance to the coach park. Be sure that you can recognise the same coach when you return, because it will be parked-up in line of coaches https://goo.gl/maps/cTVaWAFHeRu7sfmn9 Visitor centre, seen from coach park. Pan right to the coach drop-off point and the parked-up coaches beyond Edited January 18, 2023 by John Bull
Lew Port Posted January 20, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2023 We went to Stonehenge this summer and John Bull's reply is spot on. When Going to England, Stonehenge is a must in my opinion
