mpace58 Posted January 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2023 I've searched all through my profile and cannot find any way to change my password. What is the magic key?
Rare broberts Posted January 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2023 You might try Menu (3 horizontal lines, top right under blue bar) | Forums | Community Help Center. Second link under FAQ, Membership. Not sure if the link works properly. An email to help@cruisecritic.com with username using email address of record might be better. mpace58 Posted January 23, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted January 23, 2023 Thanks - Community Help had a link to request a new password. That link didn't lead to anything about password. Guess I'll try an email. It shouldn't be this hard.
mpace58 Posted January 23, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted January 23, 2023 I sent an email to help. The easiest way to change your password is to logoff and then go back to the sign on screen and click on Forgot password.
AmericanGoldfinch Posted January 29, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2023 Thanks for the tip - and I agree, there should be a place on the website to easily change a password.
Z'Loth Posted January 30, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2023 Because of a serious security breach at LastPass that is getting worse, I had to switch online password providers and, as a security prevention, have to reset all of my passwords. I also ended up having log out and utilize the "Forgot password" option. It would be good if I knew: The minimum and maximum length of the password (hint: The longer, the password) What the password requirements are What special characters are allowed (if any) Hopefully, the password that is stored is salted and encrypted with a one-way hash, thus no limitation on password length and what can be used. But, hey, what do I know? I'm just a tech who wants to cruise.
