Beaver1975 Posted January 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) We are going on MSC for the first time in April. We received onboard credit from our TA and also from MSC. I assume we can cash out our onboard credit from our TA if we don't use it all. I assume we have to use the credit from MSC or lose it. What exactly can we use our MSC onbard credit for? Can we apply it towards our service charges? Can we buy things in the gift shop (booze to take home)? Can we use it for specialty restaurants? JAGR Posted January 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2023 You can apply it towards anything that you can "charge" on your card. Yes for Room Service Charge, gift shop and specialty restaurants.
jame_g Posted January 28, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Our OBC paid for an item from the Duty Free shop and the rest went toward the daily service fee (gratuities). We had already paid for a drink package as part of our booking and we pre-paid our excursion, otherwise it can also be used for excursions, photos, soft drinks, or alcohol purchased on board too. I wouldn't assume that; MSC Is notorious for messing up OBC
