Transferring from one cabin to another

Hey everyone, I just booked a cruise for next January with the family. The four of us were going to share a room, and after I booked (just today), my mother said she would like to go and she could share a room with one of my kids.

How would this work since I’ve already booked for the 4 of us in a cabin? Can Carnival just transfer one of us to her cabin when she books?

Did you book “just today” or did you find out “just today” that mother wants to go? You can just cancel and rebook within 24 hours of your original booking. Otherwise, I’d call Carnival and book the second cabin. Shouldn’t be too much trouble.

I just booked today. So I should be good to cancel and rebook for only 3 people in my cabin.

If later on I find out I have to add one my kids back into my cabin, can that easily be done as well?

Probably. However, mother would likely lose her deposit if she changes her mind; or more if past final payment.

Adding people and moving people doesn’t exist. That is all cancelling and rebooking. After 24 hours that comes with penalties. So you need to get things settled before you book.
