How long to get off ship at ports?

For instance, my iternary (from the cruise line HAL) saying that the ship will dock in Skagway between 7a-9p, what actually the time I would be able to actually get off the ship? and what is the boarding time in the evening?

Same question for Ketchikan (7a-3p) and Juneau (7a-10.30p). I'm trying to book some excursion now.

If you are booking independent, ALWAYS go with the vender's recommendation for timing. If all goes well you can be off your ship close to the stated times. You need to be back on board 30 mins. prior to the departure time.
