Keata Posted February 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2023 As we have been to Rome twice we would rather see something else near Civi. Any reccomendations for a company with a good full day tour? Thank you in advance!

I am open to either - there are a few couples on our roll call who would also be interested but we don't want to spend hundreds of Euros a person. euro cruiser Posted February 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2023 A car service for the day is going to run around 500 euros, so a six passenger van sounds like it would be within your budget goals. Orvieto is a lovely small city to visit and you really can't get there without a car from Civitavecchia (not as a day trip, anyway). You can combine that with a quick stop at the hilltop village of Civita di Bagnoregio. Driving time from Civitavecchia is about 90 minutes - two hours each way. bennybear Posted February 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2023 This has been discussed a few times so a search should yield more options. Tarquinia is easy by public bus. There is a great Etruscan museum and tombs to visit, We also have rented a car and driven to Tuscania and Orbetello for a seafood lunch. Last time we booked the company Rome cabs for a private tour to Lake Bracciano and Orsini Palace and more Etruscan tombs at Cerveteri as well as a lovely lunch in a small village. We also like Orvieto, but also suggest Viterbo for an interesting visit along withVilla Farnese, an incredible palazzo with the most wonder maps. There are also some interesting gardens at Villa Lante with ‘monsters’ nearby. so many choices depending on your interests.
