Atlantis/Paradise Island

Hi everyone.  We are sailing on RC to the Bahamas in August and have never been to Atlantis/.Paradise Island.  Trying to find out if we take the RC excursion Aquaventure Oasis Waterpark (which seems to be the only excursion other than the Dolphin experience for Atlantis Paradise Island.  If anyone has experience with this excursion, can you let me know if once there, do you have access to the full resort area.  We are not interested in the waterpark, but want to visit the entire resort area.  Please let me know your experience.  I've read about just taking a taxi and paying the one day access fee directly from there.  Is that a better option?

Pick the cheaper option, but I can’t imagine paying that much just to walk around Atlantis without using the waterpark.

Grab a cab once outside the secured ares. At Atlantis you pay for day pass for waterpark..cheapest way I found.....Enjoy

 My wife and I took a cab there a few years back and if your not planning on using the water park all that your going to experience is the casino becase they charged for every thing else. There is a nice marina there to walk through but that's about it. In my opinion it's very over rated.
