Do thermal suite passes usually sell out pre-cruise for the Discovery Princess or can I buy onboard?

You can buy on ship , however my last trip on Discovery I found out you had to sign up for a time slot on Sea days or there were no beds ...I paid before I got on ship . Tried to get my money back but that didn,t happen.

I think they can sell more passes doing this , people were overstaying their time slot and that was causing problems .

On that trip I went around 7.30pm and always found a spot ,that does not work for everyone though.

Having always enjoyed the area on previous Royal Class Sailings I have never purchased this again .Maybe it is different on other ships.

So, yes, we were able to buy them on board 3 weeks ago.  At the same time, Princess sells a lot of passes to the Enclave.  While we did not have a sign-up sheet 3 weeks ago, there were regularly a lot of people in the Enclave and a shortage of beds.  As I remember there were about 12-14 of the heated, tiled, beds which were usually being used.  Other people just came in and set whatever stuff they had down someplace and used the steam rooms, and "pool" while waiting for a bed to become available.

Keep in mind that it is generally less expensive to buy in advance, rather than onboard ship.  We found out the expensive way!  Great space, though!  FREE on our April 1 cruise since we are in a full suite! Sweet!
