We’re traveling as a family on the Prima in a couple weeks.  We know that dining is casual but what would children and young teens be expected to wear in the dining rooms?

Shorts are allowed in all dining rooms for all meals for all people (adults and children) except Palomar and Le Bistro where gentlemen are asked to wear long pants (jeans or dockers satisfy the requirement).

So, the kids can dress however they are comfortable.

BTW: There are lots of ball caps in all restaurants.

I was on the Prima a week ago.   Most, but not all, men and teenagers I saw did wear long pants in the dining rooms. The AC worked well on the Prima so it was on the cooler side all over the ship so would also keep that in mind.  I did see a few couples get really dressed up a couple of nights, but for the most part there wasn't much of dress code on the Prima.
