Hi! My parents are sailing on the Empress out of Philly this July. There are in the 80's. They are still very active but a little slower in their pace these days. Can you suggest any excursions in both Hamilton and St. George. They love the beach, sightseeing historic places and shopping. Thanks:)

Possibly a catamaran tour if they enjoy boats. The boats usually stop to let people snorkel, but they also bring you around and show you various locations in Bermuda as well. It was a nice tour with drink provided, as well as the snorkling. I don't know if they would snorkel in their 80's, but even if they don't it was a fun tour.

We were there in November and did a Private taxi tour. It was $35.00 an hour as there was 4 to our party and we saw every inch of Bermuda. He took us to all of the Hot spots and even waited for us when we wanted to stop and get out to look around and take pictures or do a tour such as going into the Zoo and aquarium. It was great. When we shopped in St. George he patiently waited for us and we all even had lunch together at the Swizzle Inn. It was a great day and we could go at our own pace. He was fantastic. To check out TAxi tours you can go to http://www.bermudayp.com then go to yellow pages key in taxi tours and then it will come up with all the ones available. We used VIP Taxi Services and he was great. Such a gentleman and so funny. He was the highlight of our trip. that is the best way to see the entire island and they will give you the history of every place they take you to and then some. A taxi tour will take them whereever they would want to go, shopping, history, beaches etc. and allow them to probably cover them all instead of going on just one excursion. Bermuda is beautfiul. Hope they have a wonderful time.

The taxi tour for $35.00 was the price we paid for the 4 of us to go per hour. So that only came out to $8.75 an hour for each of us. What a deal that was. No wonder we kept him for 10 hours.

That price was in November ...It may be a little higher now with the price of gas going up, but I am sure it is not much more that...
