Wings55 Posted March 7, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2023 I watched the webinar last week and found it to be very tempting. 🤔 Paul
dcpamom Posted March 7, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2023 We have waiting for this cruise since 2021. We have been on 4 cruises with AMA and it is the only one we would use. They have been extremely accommodating because our deposit in 2021 was just about to expire and they extended it so we can cruise in January 2025. Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted March 7, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted March 7, 2023 I've been following this development too. Have it pencilled in for January 2026. @dcpamom did they let you book January 2025 on the Magdalena itinerary already? Their website only shows dates through December 2024. JTor Posted April 28 #7 Share Posted April 28 Ship has been delayed for the 2nd time, launch now January 2025(was Mar2024 then November). We are booked in January and now likely to be 2nd or 3rd cruise, not ideal. Is there a way to find out more about what is happening and whether our sailing is likely to proceed before I book flights etc?
JTor Posted Tuesday at 12:38 AM #8 Share Posted Tuesday at 12:38 AM no reply and no info on the internet either….this has been a frustrating process. Of course the company says it’s happening but we have now invested in flights, vacation time etc. and for all we know we’ll arrive in Columbia and no ship……

Of course the company says it’s happening but we have now invested in flights, vacation time etc. and for all we know we’ll arrive in Columbia and no ship…… It is frustrating when you don't know if there is going to be a ship in the port or not. We had this situation a bit over a year ago with Viking's new build for The Nile River. We finally cancelled Viking and moved to a competitor that we knew was a sure thing. This likely is not the case here. I am disappointed if Ama is not getting back to you? This is one reason that we now pretty much only book air that can be cancelled and refunded. It is a bit more expensive for these fares, but in a case like this if the ship is not ready then you don't have a covered reason with insurance to cancel your flights. Have you actually called Ama on the phone?
