Shuttle Houston to Galveston

Your best bet is to rent a car one-way with Hertz or Enterprise.

Failing that, I have talked to many who have had great service from Galveston Limo Service.

Whatever you do, DON"T buy Princess transfers!

Have a great cruise!!

Hi,

Just last month we used Black Tie Limousine Service from Houston/Airport to Galveston. It was our second cruise out of Galveston, our second time using Black Tie Limos. We reserved a black stretch limo for 6 people. The price would have been the same for a van. Your comfort level all depends on how much luggage you have. The cost was $225.00 EACH way. That cost included taxes and gratuity. That was cheaper than buying the cruise transfers. Not to mention much easier and more relaxing! The website for them is http://www.btlimos.com. We were very pleased with the service both trips. They were very punctual and courteous. We'll definitely use them again when we are in Houston.

Here's another link for a shuttle service from Houston / Galveston: http://www.cruiseshipshuttle.com/

We used his services for a large group in January, 2004, from IAH to the port of Houston (NCL's departure point), and had some neighbors who used him recently for their family group (about 10 people) in January, 2006. We found him very easy to deal with.

We used Galveston Limo this past week ($50 rt) and agree, it is a van that you are shuttled with. At the air port they have a desk you check it with and wait for the regular scheduled van to arrive. On the way back from the ship, we were not on the list and am glad I save the e-mail confirmation, waited at least a half hour for the next van to return from the airport, drove around Galveston picking up another person and then back to the ship to pick up someone else in an already full van. Very pleasant people though.

But as I said in the title, you get what you pay for. A limo is a lot more romantic, and with a rental car you are more independent, but they cost a little more.
