Specialty Dining Shareable?

New HA cruiser. My husband and I will be on the Koningsdam this Nov., 2023. We do not have HIA and I have a question that I have not seen addressed before. We are interested in paying for specialty dining in Tamarind and Rudis Sel de Mer. When we eat out at home we generally share appetizers and entrees since neither of us have the appetite to consume two entrees along with appetizers and dessert. Has anyone "shared" a dining credit between two people? We would be content sharing an appetizer, entree, and dessert with possibly adding an additional appetizer to share between us (with an additional charge of course). We simply cannot consume everything that two dining credits would include. Thanks in advance for your help, I appreciate it.

Not sure about the specialty restaurants you have mentioned but my sister and I have shared entrees in the Pinnacle. However, the dinners were prepaid so did not ask for credit.

I seriously doubt that you can do this (split one charge).  Changing the "program" on HAL for most things on HAL is not easy and given the way the specialty dining is set up, I cannot see this happening.

Probably not - you will probably be charged per person, not per entree.  I guess they see it as paying for the "experience".  You can always still share if you like, or just order starters... but remember the menu isn't set up with prices for each item except for a few premium items with up-charges.  So ordering "just an extra appetizer" would not work as far as "extra charge" or instead of a regular charge. Does that make sense? As I mentioned, the specialty restaurants are charge "per person", not based on what you order.
