Kiwi Kruzer Posted March 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2006 The web cam shows her in Singapore today. It is a turnaround day for her and she will be disembarking and embarking passengers.

Skyrules Posted March 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Is the riot caused by the rush to get off or the ones not wanting to get on!!!! Channel 7 news in Brisbane lead with "horror stories" of ship breakdowns and missed ports experienced on this weeks Pacifc Sky cruise - and claimed that the ship arrived back in Singapore a day early. The reporter was filmed in front of Pacific Sun at Darling Harbour today, but they did show footage of Pacific Sky in Singapore and interviews with passengers at what was either the cruise passenger terminal in Singapore, or at Singapore Airport (was hard to tell which). The near riot was over the fact that P&O were "only" offering passengers $350 compensation for missing stops at Phuket and Mallaca. Lots of passengers demanding a full refund. Usual stories of passegers on previously cancelled Pacific Sky cruises, and a full run down of all her misadventures, most of which had nothing to do with the ship or P&O (eg gastro outbreaks, meningococcal cases, the rape, the guy who jumped off coming back into Brisbane, etc, etc, etc. They concluded the article by saying, in not as many words, that it's luck that P&O is selling Pacific Sky, so don't worry we'll soon be rid of her. Very sensationalist report - severley lacking any actual facts.
