bafinegan Posted March 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2023 Recent Caribbean cruisers, does MSC change ship time to match for local times when in port? Other cruise lines I hve been on ( Carnival for ex ) use the time zone from their embarkation port. Does MSC do this? Or do they change to the port time while in port? We booked an independent excursion in Grand Cayman and while there is a 3 hour window at the end of the excursion ( so plenty of time to get back to the ship), not sure if we need to adjust for the 1 hour time difference between Miami ( embarkation port) and Grand Cayman at the start of the excursion. Thanks in advance! baf
RBrowny Posted March 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2023 It will be the port time. I think it's only Royal Caribbean that do that.

Carnival does embarkation port time thruout the cruise too. Thanks for the info! Edited March 28, 2023 by bafinegan

Haven't been on Carnival in a few years, but when we were on them, I recall that they did change times at least once on a Southern Caribbean cruise. May have been due to DST. At any rate, MSC does change times to match port local time. They don't care what Carnival does!😉 Edited March 28, 2023 by JAGR
