  1. Did they do a christmas menu at all for the weeks leading up to Christmas?
  2. I hope they do the screens but also on board - that would be awesome. I know about the itinerary, done my research. It was just more for on board. Hope it's not at capacity, as it could be very crowded inside. I imagine it definitely will be!
  3. Thank you, to you both. I've heard mixed from different people. But both your answers sound promising, so I'm really looking forward to it now. I think my mum will be super excited if there's xmas huts on deck too, or on board.
  4. Just read it, sounds and looks fantastic.
  5. This was my thinking too, but I'm going with my mother and she loves Christmas markets. Can't wait
  6. Ah, potentially. Maybe a week too soon! Hope you have an amazing time.
  7. Very much looking forward to it. The sky lounge looks like a perfect spot for an evening drink for me.
  8. Thank you for all your responses. I can't wait, and hope that it's not too bad.
  9. Hi, I am sailing on the Euribia on the 15th December and have been hearing different things about what MSC do to make the boat feel Christmassy/festive. I have seen a post on another ship that they turn the pool deck into little huts and have hot chocolate, bratwurst and other festive treats on there. I can't find anything concrete, but I am wondering if anyone else has done the same itinerary and noticed that they do things like this during the month of December. Thank you
  10. Thank you both. I'm less worried than I probably should be, but imagine it to be quite rough regardless
  11. That's as good a review as I'm going to get, so thank you. I watched some videos and seen the buffet looks quite extensive, which I'm looking forward to. Really excited to go now!
  12. In La Havre I think we might go to Honfleur as Paris is too far away. Rouen will be good, just FAR away. Brugge is amazing, been before, my Mum hasn't - so looking forward to that
  13. Booked a cruise a week before cruise and we sail from Southampton. This is the first cruise we are doing that's not in the summer, so I am wondering what the seas are like and if it will get very shaky. This will be the first time going to Northern Europe on a cruise (Hamburg, Brugge, Le Havre, Rotterdam) has anyone done these places, if so, any recommendations on things to do other than the markets. Thanks!
  14. I've just booked a Christmas Markets cruise, and wanting to find some feedback and information about the ship. I know the ship has only just started sailing, but trying to build some sort of knowledge for it. Has anyone sailed on it yet, and if so how was your experience? The wine place looks good, but I don't think that's included in any drinks packages, so I'm not sure. I have been on the MSC World Europa and will be on the Seaview in September. Secondly, I've only ever cruised during summer times, so not sure what to expect on a winter cruise - I'm assuming it's going to be rougher seas.
  15. How did you find the cruise? We are booked on for December.
  16. It's the day at sea, by the sounds of it.
  17. https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/forum/462-france-ports/ I think this will be moved to this forum, however we went on the land train to the Notre Dam and it was brilliant. Then walked around the harbour and went to one of the basilicas/churches.

    Dress code

We got off the Europa in May and the dress code for MDR wasn't really followed at all, I mean a few people turned up in sliders, shorts and a vest. Each to their own, it didn't affect me at all. But I wouldn't worry about the dress code. Gala Night, not many people do it as it's usually the day at sea and when people are getting off the next day. White Party had more involvement from people
  19. Hmm, I'd definitely speak with whoever you booked with or MSC to resolve this
  20. Upgrade on the site or through travel agent if you can. On board will be so much more expensive
  21. Just to jump on this, we couldn't get in our room. Went to customer service, said someone will be there. Went back 20 minutes later, still nothing, then someone came and they were very apologetic. Other than that, everyone seemed very helpful
  22. We sailed Europa and enjoyed it. Thought it was a little too big for us, as we were on a smaller ship previously. We are sailing on the Seaview this september though, so looking forward to that.
  23. Does anyone know what changes have been made to the Seaview?
  24. It's the World Europa, and it will be gala night. The other nights, I am not too bothered with
