Rare drron29 Posted April 7, 2023 Author #226 Share Posted April 7, 2023 Very quiet for holy week. But a market of cheap Chinese clothing in the main Square. Old ways of measurement in the days it was a real market.

Rare drron29 Posted April 7, 2023 Author #228 Share Posted April 7, 2023 We were given some free time so I went for a walk. ] Note the sundial in the picture above. It was 2 hours out but one was daylight saving which wouldn't have existed when that was done. Although the towers look complete from outside it is a different story inside the walls. Rare drron29 Posted April 7, 2023 Author #246 Share Posted April 7, 2023 Lots of terraces on the hills. Apparently all vineyards but in the 1890s most wiped out by Phylloxera. Some huge yachts.

Rare drron29 Posted April 7, 2023 Author #248 Share Posted April 7, 2023 Straight to Kaiseki for lunch. As well as the sushi and Sashimi Rojaan had the beef bowl and I the vegetarian bowl. They were a lot better than the previous time on the Dawn. Then watching a pilot leave a cargo ship.
Rare drron29 Posted April 8, 2023 Author #249 Share Posted April 8, 2023 There was a Transit cocktail party this evening. 133 guests continuing on to Rome. I tried a new cocktail for me - the Corpse reviver number 2. It does say 4 in quick succession will unrevive the corpse. Then to the Grill for dinner. Once again Rojaan had the lamb cutlets whilst I had the fillet steak. Got the corn chips as usual but no salads this time. Cooked perfectly if I say so myself. For sweets Rojaan had the cheesecake and I the apple rose with cinnamon ice cream. Sunset as we finished dinner.
