Mooning around the Mediterranean

It must be naughty music as SS won't let me see or hear it.

Could be!  It's a classic song from my youth.  Lyrics for your perusal are below.

Now the King told the boogie man
You have to let that raga drop
The oil down the desert way
Has been shakin' to the top
The Sheik, he drove his Cadillac
He went a-cruisin' down the ville
The muezzin was a-standin'
On the radiator grille (ow!)

Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah

By order of the Prophet
We ban that boogie sound
Degenerate the faithful
With that crazy Casbah sound
But the Bedouin, they brought out
The electric camel drum
The local guitar picker
Got his guitar-pickin' thumb
As soon as the Sharif had cleared the square
They began to wail

Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah

Now over at the temple
Oh, they really pack 'em in
The in-crowd say it's cool
To dig this chanting thing
But as the wind changed direction
And the temple band took fire
The crowd caught a whiff
Of that crazy Casbah jive

Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah

The King called up his jet fighters
He said you better earn your pay
Drop your bombs between the Minarets
Down the Casbah way
As soon as the Sharif was chauffeured outta there
The jet pilots tuned to the cockpit radio blare
As soon as the Sharif was outta their hair
The jet pilots wailed

Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah

Sharif don't like it
He thinks it's not kosher
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
Fundamentally can't take it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
You know he really hates it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
Sharif don't like it
He really, really hates it

Back at the ship and a bit of a rest before trivia. Unfortunately bombed out at trivia so no points. I'm in mourning.

Much better luck at golf. A tie for second in a remarkable turnaround. After 2 holes was quite a way behind the leader. Was in a tie for fourth with 2 others. On the last hole the three of us all had a hole in one but only 1 fellow in front of us didn't crash and burn so second it was.

Getting into cruise mode again. A routine of waking early, shower or bath then breakfast in the Arts cafe. Then time to get ready for an excursion. Tangier today.

In Thursday's Chronicles there was alittle note pointing out how to join the other place that can't be mentioned.

Also we did print out all our excursions for this cruise but not the dinner reservations. Went to My Silversea to chck up but you can't get the activities on a cruiseyou have started. So we called by Reception to find out what we have reserved. Fortunately found out we had a reservation at La Terraza that night. However they could only bring up and print out the reservations for the first 10 day segment.

At least I couldn't see any one else's bookings.

So to La Terraza. First the menu. The lights were not in a good positio for photos but here it is.

I then had the tomato soup. It was good but not as good as on our last cruise on the Dawn.

For mains Rojaan had the Pappardelle with duck ragu excellent. I had the veal chop. Just a little dry.

For sweets Rojaan had the Babb

a Rhum and I some Gorganzola. My menu didn't have it on but Rojaan's did. Fortunately hers was the right menu.

An enjoyable night.

We were both very tired so back to the room. Before 10 minutes elapsed Rojaan was fast asleep.

I certainly hadn't expected the countryside to be so green and productive.
