Will we make it in time?

We have excursions booked for 9am at St. Maarten and 10am at St. Thomas. Could someone tell me how long it takes to get off the ship and be on our way to the excursions? I've been reading that it can take awhile... Should I reschedule or cancel my excursions?

boths of those ports are docking ports, not tender ports...that makes a huge difference as far as the ability of getting off the ship....having said that, in St Thomas you likely will have to go through US Customs and Immigration while still on the ship..that can be time consuming and the officials do not always show up on time....but I think the times you have booked should be fine.

Nope these are not excursions through Princess. We have reservations for Coral World helmet diving at 10am so that gives us 3 hours to get off the ship and to Coral World. Hopefully this is enough time. And for St. Maarten, we are going to Bayside for the 9am ride, which gives us 2 hours to be off the ship and at Bayside. That might be pushing it, huh?

Unless you are tendering in St Maartin it should not be a problem. It is quite a distance from the anchorage area to the town docks. We watched from our balcony last year while the QMII passengers tendered. It looked to be about a 20min ride once you got on the tender.
