tbmrt Posted April 5, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2023 My understanding is that we can no longer drop our bags off, check in before noon, and then walk on ship at our assigned time. Is that correct? Also wondering if we should just wait for shuttle or grab an Uber back to arrive at the ship before our assigned time.
Rare cantgetin Posted April 5, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2023 We were never allowed to check in early and then walk on. We were allowed to drop off bags with the porter and take the shuttle....then return at our assigned time. YMMV

Is that correct? You could never check in early. You can drop your checked bags with the porter and take a shuttle to Bayside marketplace. If you have carry on luggage that needs to go with you. When it's time to get on the ship, you check in at the appointed time. Note that while the shuttle is supposed to run a continuous loop until at least 3:30pm, that didn't happen for us last July. We were basically stranded at Bayside around 1:30pm. Ended up taking a Lyft back to the port around 2:30 when the shuttle never came back. Gretchendz Posted May 28, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2023 The shuttle appears to be back. I just received an email back from VV, in response to my inquiry. They said: Should you happen to arrive at the port before your scheduled arrival time, don’t worry! You may drop off your luggage with our Crew and then hop on the complimentary shuttle over to Bayside Marketplace for some unbeatable views of Miami and a stroll through their shops before embarking on your voyage. Rare cantgetin Posted May 28, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2023 In Miami you do not drip off luggage with VV crew (as their response states.). You drop luggage with the porters who work for the cruise port.
