Overnight in Cabo

Sorry, but the replies saying that there are tenders all night are inaccurate.  Some ships might have tenders all night long, but some do not.  It depends on your ship.

I was on the Crown Princess in January 2023.  The tenders stopped at 11:30 p.m. and resumed at 7 AM the next morning.  There was no overnight shuttle service.

I came back to the ship for an early dinner, and then made a very short trip back to town to stick my nose into Cabo Wabo and Giggling Marlin, before catching one of the relatively late shuttles back to the ship.  I would have preferred it if the shuttles had been running all night.

Appreciate the input. This is the problem I keep running in to is conflicting info on it. For reference sailing on the Emerald next month so I would assume it will be the same. Do you think Princess will know if I give them a call?

I called Princess before my cruise, and could not get an answer other than "It is up to the captain."  I asked on this forum, and got conflicting answers.  Very frustrating!  One friend booked a relatively cheap hotel in Cabo for the night, so that he could ignore the shuttle stoppage (if there was to be a stoppage) and he did not have to rush back on board.  That seems excessive to me!

I hope your birthday in Cabo is wonderful!

Thanks! I was actually considering booking a room for the same reason but I do love me some excess lol. I am thinking your answer will most likely be the correct one considering it was relatively recent and the same cruise line. I act like I would be out until 3 am but when it comes down to it I’m getting too old for that so this is all in theory about staying out. Theories, options and excess. Me in a nutshell 🤣🤣

My wife is the party-er, not me.  So a five minute visit to the clubs was all I wanted.  The 11:30 curfew was a perfect excuse for me not to spend time in the clubs.

Before you decide whether to go partying in Cabo overnight, think about what you might be giving up on board.  On our Crown P cruise, they had a Beatles Tribute Show, a Mexican Folkloric Show (a group that came on the ship from Cabo) and a Queen Tribute that evening. Not bad entertainment.   But because we were anchored at Cabo, the ship's casino was closed.  You might be able to see what entertainment your ship will have that night using the Medallion App.

There is a risk that if the weather on the second day suddenly worsens, they may not be able to operate tenders. Then, you know the rest of the story.

I’ve seen weather stop tenders bringing passengers to shore but I haven’t seen the weather prevent tenders from retrieving passengers already ashore.  But I guess it could happen!
