I bid for an upgrade as soon as I was sent an email.  We sail in three weeks and still have not gotten a response.  How long before they upgrade?  I am thinking of just having my travel agent upgrade for me.

Bids usually aren't awarded until just shortly before the cruise - think 7-10 day for Haven, 3-7 days for Balcony.  But every cruise is different. Some people don't get their upgrade until the day of the cruise.

If the upgrade price is close to your bid, just pay for the upgrade - then your upgrade is guaranteed, no reason to play the lottery with bidding.

Yep.

B2B last August on Getaway.

Bid min (or $5 more...)

Got it both weeks.

Remember: there are more balconies than any other cabin type on every ship.

Unless I think a ship will be full, this is what we do: book interior & bid on balcony!

Were you happy with both cabin locations?   I know a lot of cruisers believe a bad balcony location is always better than a good oceanview location, but not everyone feels that way.

you can be notified anywhere from 2 days to even a few hours before boarding.  Once you get accepted, you cannot say "no thanks".  Your form of payment supplied will be billed automatically with the upgrade winning bid.
