tbmrt Posted May 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2023 Thinking The Dock area would be a great place to relax and sunbathe but will surely be hot in June. Is there a shower or hot tub near it?
jon81uk Posted May 8, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2023 No, it is just a bar area. There are hot tubs as part of the athletic club at the rear of deck 16 (with showers next to them) and the pool, whirlpool, hot tubs and showers on deck 15. The hot tubs are often hotter than the air anyway so may not help cool you down!

Is there a shower or hot tub near it? The Dock is a great area to relax, as are 'the porches' mid-ship on Deck 7. All water features are up on the top decks. Note that those large beds on The Dock are claimed early so if you want one of those, you'll need to get there earlier.
Rare cantgetin Posted May 9, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2023 If there is a problem at The Dock, it is the lack of seating for those with physical problems...essentially "normal" chairs. There are the large beds, the funky chairs that are barely inches off the ground, and a few bar stools around tables...and a very few chairs of a more standard height. As an older person with a traveling companion who has a physical issue, we were unable to attend two events at The Dock on our last cruise as there were no available chairs that we would have been able to get out of--only the very near the ground chairs were remaining. Accessible seating (that does not require walking stairs) has also been a problem in the Red Room. There is no way on the app to note that accessible seating will be required when you make a reservation for an event, and even when arriving 30 minutes early, the floor level seats may all be taken. The solution at the Red Room is that after checking in, you can take the elevator one floor up and there may be balcony seating still open. Most other lines have seating reserved for those needing to use mobility aids or unable to walk stairs.
