Help! Looking for Freedom of the Seas Information-NY stop?

Recommended Posts

I've been reading the Freedom of the Seas threads and noticed that she is supposed to be in NY? Does anyone know when exactly and for how long? Does anyone know where I can search for the information? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!!

My understanding is that she gets christened May 12th in the Port of NY, and leaves on the first of her US short shake-down cruises on May 13th out of Bayonne. I don't know what is carved in stone or not though.

We received a call from C&A last week inviting us on the two night sailing of the Freedom out of Boston on May 19th. Getting excited already. Don't know or care about what our accommodations will be - a lounge chair in the Solarium would be fine.;)

I wonder why they would christen her in NYC? Usually they do that in the home port. Maybe they're trying to tie into the Today Show contests they've had.
