prmami Posted May 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2023 (edited) Can someone please explain the difference between South Beach and and chill beach the last time we were at Coco cay was roughly 10 years ago. Way before the expansion on the island. Just wondering if the daybed is the same on each of those spots or if there are different requirements Thank you in advance Edited to add: is there a difference between the shore does one section have calm waters, or the other section too much waves what’s the difference? South Beach has calm waters. There is a swim to bar and last winter, they added some water toys that can be used as seats. Snack Shack is at South Beach by the tram stop, it is the only food option there. Restrooms, bar, shower, basketball & table tennis along with hammocks, loungers & umbrellas. I have spent little time at Chill. More to do close to Chill than at SB. Chill Grill & Snack Shack are nearby. I do recall waves at Breezy Bay being rougher than South Beach. pudy68 Posted July 19, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2023 Where is the Snack Shack/tram stop at SB? I don't see it on my map. Also, does the tram run the whole island?

Also, does the tram run the whole island? The first stop the tram makes will be at South Beach. It is at the right end of SB. There is a waiting area with benches. All services at SB will be to your left when you exit the tram. Snack Shack is a short walk, maybe 40 yards. There are 2 trams at Coco Cay. The 1st tram, which seats about 12, travels from the ship to the transportation center where transfer is made to trams seating about 40 that do a loop of the island. There is usually a line for the 1st tram but it is helpful for those with mobility issues. If you ride the 1st tram back to the ship rather than walk the driver will stop well before the ship where all riders must show their sea pass card then the tram proceeds to the ship. Guest services provided Coco Cay maps in the past. Would not be surprised if eliminated as a cutback.
