Black flies repellent

It's good to pack black flies repellent when going on a cruise to Canada. It's available on 

Amazon.com.

Black fly season usually  May& June. Don’t know many Canadians who use fly repellant. What do you use in Maine? They could be pesky in cottage country but mosquitos worse.

I don't use it in Maine, but I use it in Canada.  Years ago on the Veendam, the Captain made an announcement about black flies the night before we got to Red Bay.

Ok, I did my own research and it appears black flies are more of a problem further north and in wooded areas, rather than in Montreal, Quebec City, etc. Phew!
