whoopie Posted May 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2023 I am packing or at least making a list for a trip on Navigator stopping mainly at Canadian ports. I am debating between pumps and sandals for dinner and evenings. (I will be wearing sneakers in the daytime.) Sandals are easier. Ladies: Are the dining room and the bars, lounges and theatre kept too cold for sandals?
Parapara Posted May 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2023 Not an answer to query above but another question re air conditioning in cabin. Can you adjust it?
SWFLAOK Posted May 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2023 We were just on a 2 week cruise to the Caribbean from Miami to Miami on Navigator. It was chilly in Compass Rose in the evenings, even though it was quite warm on deck. I don't know if they turn on the heat when in Canada, The cabins have a thermostat so you can set it to whatever you feel is comfortable.

I’ve never felt cold on any of the ships, unless it’s weather related. The temperature is noticeably cool. I take lots of different pashminas that are great to cover my shoulders and I wear sandals in evening and not felt it too cold. The theatre is a place I definitely feel it much cooler, so the pashmina helps there. Ps we really love the Navigator . Jean.
NCCruzQueen Posted May 23, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2023 I am currently on Navigator, @whoopie, yes, it’s cold in the public areas. Sandals should be fine in the evening but sweaters and wraps are needed. @Parapara the temperature can be controlled in the suites.
Rare GeorgiaPeach51 Posted May 23, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2023 We just got off the Navigator and I concur with @NCCruzQueen that it was chilly in many venues and our hallway on deck 7 was cold enough that my polar bear husband even remarked on it. I always had at least a light long-sleeved sweater on or around my shoulders. I did see people with shorts and sleeveless tops on days when everyone else was in long sleeves so there you go! But if you run cold, as I do, you need to be prepared.
