Taxi from port to coach station Southampton

Recommended Posts

We will need a taxi from Southampton port to the coach station on 22nd June. Is it necessary to book a taxi in advance or are they readily available? We won’t be in any hurry as our coach doesn’t leave until lunch time. Do we have an allotted time to disembark? We are going on P&O Auora

Thanks

No need to prebook. It’s only a 5 minute journey. There’ll be cabs outside the terminal - though there may be a line. Alternatively use Uber.

You will be given a time to disembark and it’ll probably be before 9.30am, if not earlier, so you could have quite a wait. There are shops quite near the coach station if you need to kill time. Or you may be allowed to catch an earlier coach if there’s room.

You will be given a disembarkation slot, but you can ask for a different slot citing your onward travel. Guest Relations should have no trouble giving you a late slot but as per Gumshoe's post 9.30 is probably the latest.

The port website says you'll berth at Ocean Cruise Terminal, less than a 10 min walk from Town Quay, pubs coffee shops etc.

And the coach station only another 15 minute walk, past the West Quay Mall and retail sheds.
