Nidwaldner Posted June 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2023 Family of 3 will be flying directly to IGR from AEP after disembarkation at Buenos Aires. How soon after planned docking (5am) is safe to book flight? We currently have a Noon flight but would love to get an earlier one if possible to maximize our time in Iguazu. TIA. Rare LHT28 Posted June 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2023 But what time are you allowed off the ship? Just because the ship may dock at 5 am does not mean pax are allowed to disembark Then consider how long to the airport from the port
Rare FlyerTalker Posted June 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2023 The distance to AEP is not that far, and should be a 20-30 minute ride. However, a couple of additional issues you should consider. First, the cruise terminal at Buenos Aires is far from efficient. Transport may or may not be readily available. Also, you will have to use an intra-port shuttle bus from your ship to the terminal. Those may or may not be quickly available at an early hour. AEP itself is quite a busy airport, as it is the primary domestic airport for BA. So your time processing through the terminal may be significant. The good news is that your flight is domestic, so you don't have any immigration issues at the airport. Personal thought and question: Just how much stress do you want to risk for perhaps an extra hour or two at IGR? Have you THAT short a time in Iguazu that a hour will mean that much?
