Chesneygirl Posted June 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2023 We are looking to book flights for our kids. Would a 10:55am flight back home from Port Canaveral to MCO be doable? They would be doing easy walk off the NCL Escape. They will be flying in the day before so no worries there. Thanks for any help/input.
FOPMan Posted June 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2023 If everything works perfectly, including nondrlay in docking, being first off the ship. no drlay at customs/immigration, US citizens flighing domestically with Real ID having TSAPre, Clear, or another priority security line access method, no hangup at security, a short security line (this is unpredictable), tickets are in hand and full service checkin is not needed, and no stop for a restroom, it can potentially be accomplished. I wouldn’t do it, even if I didn’t have a wheelchair to contend with (that beaks the possibility because of transportation), I wouldn’t do it. no sense in blowing a relaxing vacation with a paniced rush. . Marie51 Posted June 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2023 It’s possible, if everything goes along perfectly. But I wouldn’t chance it if it were me. If they miss their flight, it may be difficult to get on a later one as those flights after a cruise are usually booked up.
Capt_BJ Posted June 20, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) 1055 is TIGHT here's your problem: They would be doing easy walk off the NCL Escape. today 50% or more plan to 'just walk off <early/first>' and ya know .... that math don't work! On one of our cruises folks started queuing up for 'walk off' several hours before we even docked!!!! At a minimum my stress level would be HIGH ..... final answer: 110% on the reactor is possible but not recommended ..... don't forget: port to MCO is 50 minutes with no issues MCO TSA screening is commonly SLOW/crowded/long (got PRE? .... get it) plane doors close 30 minutes before departure time there's the main road from port to MCO and if there is a problem on this road you can get STUCK with no way to get off; or the alternate routes add 45+ minutes to the commute Edited June 20, 2023 by Capt_BJ
