This is probably a really dumb question.

However, I just finished watching a great review of a cruise on the Melody and the author of the video showed pictures of the food which looked pretty great. But having never cruised on a river cruise before (just the big Ocean Cruise Ships), is it the same policy where you could ask for a second entree at dinner if you want? I could definitely see myself wanting another serving of the lobster ravioli !!

Thanks

My experience on the Jazz was less than satisfactory.
ran out of dinner options.

There are no seconds.
food quality was at times only fair.

we were not fans of this cruise line.
I wrote a review if you care to look it up.

I'm asking this question for friends traveling with us.

Are you able to get a second portion like on a Princess, NCL, Royal cruise?

Thank you.

In my past experience, ACL gives you a menu for lunch and dinner at the breakfast service. You fill out a form for lunch and dinner with your requests. If you don't see anything you like, in my experience, you can write in pb&j or grilled cheese, potato chips for example. Not lobster! If I thought I wanted 2 portions, this is where I would request it, on the form. They can only say no if you ask. If you wait to ask until at the meal you are eating, they may not have the food available or the time to prepare it.
