YC Europe disembark - recent experience?

Hello. We will be on Seaview, disembarking in Civitavecchia early October. Our flight is the following morning and we are staying at an airport hotel.
We will have private transfer for 8 of us from ship to airport hotel.

We are looking for any recent cruiser experiences disembarking from YC. We understand we will need to vacate our cabins in the morning to allow time to ready them for next guests. How long can we hang out on the ship, we are not in a hurry to go hang out at the airport and really don’t want to go into Rome with a tour.

Thanks for any recent experience updates.

Normally disembarking begins +1 hour of docking. So they expect people to clear/vacate cabins around about this time but allow for passengers to stay on the ship for a few more hours. Not entirely sure how long the max time is. If you are Diamond members you can ask to keep the cabin for 1 or 2 hours extra. I know that passengers are grouped and given a number for disembarkation (except Yacht Club) and they call these numbers out on the PA system. This ensures an orderly disembarkation. Going by these announcements, you will get to know when the last set of passengers are leaving the ship.

YC passengers normally vacate their cabins and take advantage of the Top Sail Lounge and the YC areas for a few extra hours. The most we have stayed is 2 or 3 hours extra because of hotel check-in timings, flights or to avoid the rush hour. We begin to feel uncomfortable when the next set of passengers start boarding and leave the ship soon after 11am.

If you are staying overnight, then I suppose you can ask the hotel for early check-in so you can make use of the day in Rome too.
