'The Bear' Posted March 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2006 We are Canadians & we just returned from the Legend on March 9; DW & I were allowed to keep our passports with us throughout the cruise !! On our previous 2 cruises, Glory 2004, & Victory 2005, we had to turn in our passports at embarkation & have them returned just prior to debarkation ----- I was wondering if anyone Knew the reason for the change in procedure; it certainly was more convenient & I felt a lot more secure having the passports on my person during the visits to the ports of call! MikeNKim Posted March 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2006 We where just on Celebration in Feb and got to keep them. When we where on Magic in October they kept them. I prefer to keep them as well. And best part we didn't have to get up early for immigration...wahoooo Kim

cruisinbuddy Posted March 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2006 Did you happen to need them when getting off of the ship in any port? I've heard that some ports need them.
