Change in Canadian Passport Protocol

'The Bear'

Recommended Posts

We are Canadians & we just returned from the Legend on March 9; DW & I were allowed to keep our passports with us throughout the cruise !!

On our previous 2 cruises, Glory 2004, & Victory 2005, we had to turn in our passports at embarkation & have them returned just prior to debarkation ----- I was wondering if anyone Knew the reason for the change in procedure; it certainly was more convenient & I felt a lot more secure having the passports on my person during the visits to the ports of call!

We where just on Celebration in Feb and got to keep them.

When we where on Magic in October they kept them. I prefer to keep them as well. And best part we didn't have to get up early for immigration...wahoooo
