Why is Crystal Serenity heading to Kotor?

Some may be wondering why Crystal Serenity is heading to Kotor when next weeks cruise departs from Venice

 

I am told by Crystal they are actually required to leave Italian waters and will undergo some final sea trials to make sure everything’s ready (all is going as planned so nothing untoward to deal with) - they will pick up some extra people along the way (there’s also another stop after Kotor)

 

They are on track to be in Venice on the 24th for the shakedown cruise with travel advisers

 

Crystal Symphony will follow a similar plan when it’s her turn

I was wondering since I'm looking at it and was wondering why a ship would come into port at 4 in the afternoon

The reason on the crew is that citizens from certain countries have a tough time entering Italy. This happens all the time during the year where crew comes on board to relieve other crew and that is part of the planning the goes into the scheduling of the crew.
