Rare New2cruise2022 Posted July 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2023 Currently have a cruise booked on the Discovery in an inside cabin. The obstructed deluxe balcony is a nice price to get a little more space and a couch. I understand that obstructed will afford me little or no view. Can anyone share anyone share any experiences (positive or negative) with this selection?
SCX22 Posted July 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2023 The worse thing about these cabins is that it can be noisy when the tenders are dropped or when the lifeboats are dropped for crew drills. Some of the midship cabins where the ship bows inward have larger balconies and no obstruction. The website below will show you the view from almost all of the obstructed view cabins on Royal Class ships: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/ov.php?ship=Discovery-Princess&cabins=E301-E334
Rare Ombud Posted July 24, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2023 (edited) View from E409 so it really depends on whether you are midship bump out or not: Find the 'obstruction' 😁 (Tip: you need to look down .... I'll help you out) Edited July 24, 2023 by Ombud
