Self Disembarkment

We are a family with two young children and a grandmother and are thinking of trying this. Does anyone know if the Elevators are operational during this time? We know we won't be able to carry the large pieces down the stairs but would like to try this.

I wouldn't count on the elevators... with so many people leaving and going up and down the elevators, it is nearly impossible to get one the last morning of the cruise. You should be able to carry all of your luggage off the ship, including up/down the stairs, escalators, etc. in order to use self assist... don't count on elevators as there is no way to know if you will be able to make use of them... good luck!

You will need to have everyone together, and be able to pick up all the luggage at one time and walk off the ship at a steady, even pace. No setting down one bag to grab a child's hand, no going backwards to drag over another bag, no alternating beween pushing the stroller and then moving the luggage. If you think you can manage it, then yes, you can use the elevator to go from your floor to the lower deck where you will debark. Everyone will line up early in the morning with their luggage and you will be the second group to leave the ship (Concierge Club being the first)

Well, first of all we need a little more information. What ship and where?? On the Conquest/Galveston there were elevators for those who couldn't handle stairs and luggage at the same time. :D
