Equinox Cruise - Late to the Party - best deck 6 cabin?

Hi.  

 

The only balcony cabins left for the May 2024 cruise I am looking at are on deck 6.

It looks like the obstructions for the cabins at the end of the ship would be less annoying, but I am finding conflicting reports about noise from these cabins.

Most of the cabins in the 6290's are available.  Is there any advantage of port vs. starboard, or further back vs. further forward?

What category are the cabins you’re looking at?  V1 and V2 on Deck 6 are unobstructed.  V3 have the obstructions.

Must be V3.  Doesn't look like any unobstructed cabins are left.

Pick a stateroom on the starboard side.  They have smoking areas on Deck 5 on the port side.

Yep.  Saw that.  I think I will go with 6158 (starboard).  

View isn't as good as aft cabins, but much less walking to the stairs and elevators!
