We just returned from Alaska on the Discovery and had a wonderful time !! Our 6th trip to there and still am in awe of the beauty and wonder. 

This post however is about the dining. We were so fortunate to be invited to the 360 dinner which was so fun and very fabulous !! 

We also dined at Crown Grill and LOVED it ! Best filet and wonderful service and sides. 

Sabatinis, not a fan , GREAT server but the food was just ok and very salty. Had a dessert sampler and all were just ok.

GiGi's pizza was not good at all ! Very bland sauce and very bland pizza. Minestrone was delicious but salads and desserts were lacking. 

We enjoyed the buffet and also dining room meals and will probably not dine elsewhere again.

Got to agree with your description of Gigi's. No real pepperoni (on deck and room service has it) and as far as I can tell there's not a link of Italian Sausage on board any Princess ship.
