Pitoburo Posted August 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) We are considering booking an Alaska trip on Jewel, but not particularly interested in access to the small Heaven. Do all non-Haven suites have (and would reasonably expect to still have in the future) the same amenities (butler, escorted boarding, etc…) bar access to the Heaven? I.e, those listed on NCL website https://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/cruise-accommodations/cruise-suites-and-penthouses. For example, I saw quite a few past threads about Joy (that is now listed as an exclusion) and certain cheaper suites have a vague language saying “Includes butler and concierge service in select cabins.” Thanks! valleyvillage Posted August 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2023 Joy suites are a different animal and their perks have changed over time. From what I understand the suites in the Jewel class still have the usual perks, minus the enclave.
df5250 Posted August 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2023 Was on the Jewel in August in Forward Penthouse Suite. Had all amenities, except the Haven… the one’s I used: Breakfast in Moderno, Lunch in Cagney’s, Priority, escorted embarkation on day 1 and at every port (last hour before boarding time), priority disembarkation, butler, concierge. On Glacier days, I got an invite to go up to the Haven with up to 4 guests to view the glacier. Hubbard Glacier, we chose to stay on the balcony instead of go to the haven. For Tracy arm I was in a small boat excursion, so I never did get to see the Haven!
bonvoyagie Posted August 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2023 We were in an Aft penthouse on deck 10 and had the same amenities as usual. Breakfast in Modernaro and lunch in Cagney's, butler and concierge, snacks every day. On this cruise we were invited to the Haven Sundeck to see both Hubbard and Dawes Glaciers. This was a first time for us and it is up to the concierge to allow this. We were allowed to bring guests so we grabbed a couple that we met on our land tour, who happened to be just down the hall from us and went for the Hubbard Glacier (our small boat tour was cancelled). While it was nice, Hubbard was socked in with clouds and ice so we could not get very close. It was still fun to see the Haven. I believe that there are possibly some of the aft penthouses on decks 8 and 9 that do not get butler service - read the description on the website - i am not sure but I believe that only deck 8 lacks butler service. 1
