Premium Soft Drink Package

The premium soft drink package includes "unlimited refreshments from a range of hand-crafted non-alcoholic cocktails, artisan soft drinks, bottled mineral water, freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and speciality hot drinks" and from reviewing the Ts&Cs "All bottles and cans will be served opened."

From those who have cruised with Cunard with the premium soft drink package, what happens in practice?  Are all bottled & canned drinks served opened?  May not consider the package if we can't store soft drinks/ water in our cabin (fridge).

Yes, you will normally be served with the drinks open and part poured in some cases, but after a few hours (a) a few of the Fentiman or Harrogate screw caps may accidentally fall into your pocket (or you find some lurking in your carry-on) and (b) if you ask for a can for the cabin you'll normally find someone who will do this, so long as it's just the one can. There is a separate soft drinks option as part of the fridge / bar menu for staterooms but that's not part of this package.  The larger Harrogate water caps - particularly sparkling - they may serve the first glass but normally leave the gap there otherwise it will start to lose fizz - or can be prevailed upon to leave the cap.  The larger bottle isn't part of the package but may be worth bearing in mind since it's relatively cost effective.

This package is intended for your time in bars and restaurant, it's not a surrogate stateroom supply. But the odd can isn't going to be an issue, and you can bring soft drinks on with embarkation. The relatively expensive price of this is what it is, it probably only makes sense if you are going to do a few mocktails, have a few coffees and have a lot of juices etc during the day. It's not obviously priced to be a bargain.
