AARP OBC on previously booked "refundable" cruises?

We ad 2 HAL cruises booked before the AARP OBC thing came into play.

One was past final payment (is in 2 weeks) but we have one for next December that is refundable. When I check pricing it appears the same, maybe $50 more but I think that is just the currency exchange for our Canadian rates.

I figure I can call our PCC and have it cancelled and rebooked to get the AARP OBC applied, but was wondering if people are just calling in and having it applied rather put them through the hassle of rebooking it. We have a GTY inside so no issue with rooms 😄

We booked an Alaska cruise for next summer a week or two before the AARP OBC was announced. We were able to get the OBC added when I called HAL to make an adjustment to the cabin category we had originally booked. Apparently changing the cabin category was actually creating a new booking, which automatically triggered the AARP. If you decide to attempt this, make sure you've verified your AARP membership number of the HAL website first.
