Transportation from Valparaiso to Santiago Airport

We will be disembarking in Valparaiso and need to get to Santiago airport. Is it best to book transportation? Companies anyone has used? How long a drive?

We just took the public bus and it worked out well.

We did a tour/trasnfer with a private company that included touring Valparaiso and visiting a vineyard along the way. Just google for "southexcursions".

He was recommended to us by Mauricio Escobar, (the Guide recommended frequently on this forum,) when he was not personally available. Patricio was a great driver, with a clean, large vehicle. He's quite personable and knowledgeable. Patricio is working to improve his English, but we had no problem communicating. He  gave us with a full day tour with a pickup in Valparaiso in the morning, ending at our hotel in Santiago in the evening. He was flexible and provided a tour that met our needs. We have no hesitation recommending him. He lives in Santiago and does tours from the city as well as Valparaiso and Vina del Mar.

Thanks for the replies. We will not have time for a tour as we are getting a flight at 12:30 from Santiago airport. Wanted to book something so we wouldn’t be panicking trying to get to the airport on time. There are just two of us so wondered if there is a van we could share . Cheaper with more people going to the airport.
