Dizer65 Posted September 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2023 Apologies if this has been asked before , but I’m thinking of doing my first Virgin cruise in 2025 and wondering when the Mediterranean itineraries will be released. Thanks
Rare cantgetin Posted September 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) Not to be difficult, but the only possible answer is "whenever VV is good and ready to release them." THere seems to be no rhyme or reason to their releases so far. My suggestion would be to contact your travel agent and ask them to notify you when they get any info; they sometimes know a few days before the actual release. greenenvy Posted September 23, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2023 They just released itineraries past April 2024 (summer, fall, winter 2024 and spring of 2025) on September 11, 2023. It’s very possible we may not get Summer 2025 itineraries until next Fall.
Cathy in Boston Posted September 23, 2023 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2023 Fall of 2024? Gosh I hope not. Guess we will cover ourselves by getting a refundable reservation on a different line.
Dizer65 Posted September 23, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted September 23, 2023 I agree. Too late for me. Plenty of other lines have their summer 2025 open for bookings. I will look elsewhere I think

What they released on September 11 was fall of 2024 through spring of 2025. They could release Spring of 25 through Fall of 25 anytime between now and next March. No way to predict, but they definitely want it out as soon as possible to compete with other lines.
Cathy in Boston Posted September 23, 2023 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2023 I reached out to them on X (or Twitter or whatever it is these days.). I’ll report back on what they say.
Chrish2 Posted September 25, 2023 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2023 Reading between the lines of the file @jon81uk posted in another thread gives an idea of their internal thinking. Namely that VV plan/position themselves in 6 month seasons at a time and Brilliant Lady is billed as "coming soon" for Winter 2024/2025. With them not billing the 6 month season "Summer 2025" season as "coming soon" you would assume BL's Winter 2024/2025 will launch first before the "Summer 2025" for all ships. Will they do all 4 at the same time? Who knows! It will be the first time they will have so many ships deployed needing bookings.
-The-True-North- Posted October 3, 2023 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Has anyone done the French Daze & Ibiza Nights cruise? It doesn't look like it ever leaves the EU. Does this mean anything purchased is subject to local taxes?

Does this mean anything purchased is subject to local taxes? We just did Irresistible Med last week, yes 10% VAT added to all food and drinks. Shops open in international waters but add 20% tax which can be claimed back by doing forms on the ship and collecting it at the airport. 1
