Journey_On Posted October 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2023 Hello everyone, We have booked the "XPLOR: High Adventure Theme Park with Lunch" excursion in April 2024 through Royal Caribbean. I am a bit concerned about the following note in the description: "Xplor Park is located on the Mainland requiring a 45-minute ferry ride to Playa del Carmen. Guests prone to seasickness should take precautions." For anyone who has done this excursion through RCCL with the ferry ride, how bad was it in terms of seasickness? I always take my Dramamine or Bonine on cruises, so I will definitely take it for this, yet I was curious if anyone could comment on the severity of the rocking of the ferry. Thank you! Rare crewsweeper Posted October 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2023 Depends on the weather conditions. We've taken the ferry when it was smooth ride, bumpy ride and "wild" ride. You can see the conditions in the channel as you approach the piers. If there are white caps, take your preferred sea sick medicine before leaving the ship. And maybe take a dose for the return as conditions can be different. 1

I will be sure to watch the water as we get closer to the pier.
