alibabacruisers Posted October 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2023 (edited) Hi, we were docked near the Aloha Tower (which is interesting to walk around) and you can walk towards a Walmart (a smaller one)located at the corner of King and Fort St., for provisions and that is about a 10-20 minute walk at a leisurely pace. We went there but there is a much better one near the Ala Moana Mall. You can also walk to the Ala Moana Center which takes about 20-30 minutes and has lots of shops, restaurants, etc. There is another larger Walmart near there as well. That is also the location for a lot of bus stops. You can continue on from there to walk to Waikiki if you like to do a lot of walking and there is quite a bit to see along the way, or you can take a bus. It was really hot when we were there so if you choose to walk remember sunscreen, hat and to bring some water. I think there is also a bus stop right near where the ship docks so you could take a bus to the Ala Moana Center and walk to Waikiki from there to reduce some of the walking. There is also a lot of info on Honolulu on the PORTS OF CALL section. Edited October 15, 2023 by alibabacruisers

There is a huge Long's Drugs at one end of the huge Ala Moana Shopping Center where you can buy most things other than clothes. Walmart is about a block or two away from that shopping center. alibabacruisers Posted October 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2023 The closing of that Walmart does not surprise me as when we went there last year, it was looking very tired and disorganized. We went to the Longs on a previous cruise but found it to be more expensive, but still a good place to check out.
