Considering a Carnival cruise, have only sailed Royal Caribbean before

I was on board Carnival Splendour from Sydney to the South Pacific this year and because Isle of Pines and Mare not being open to cruisers, we got two full day visits to Noumea.  The Amadee Island ship tour was only available on one of the two Noumea port days (wasn’t available to book on a Sunday).  
 

Have been to Amadee twice now and would happily go a third time.  So many turtles when snorkeling there this year.
