Diet Coke on Japan cruise

I am going on the Millenium in June of 24. I am thinking of getting the Zero Proof package but I typically only drink Diet Coke as far as soda goes. I was watching a video of someone who went on an Asian cruise, different cruise line, and they were served Coke Plus. I know Japan does not have Diet Coke and was thinking I could get by until I got on the ship but now I am wondering if they will even have it on board since they will be in Asia for a while and it is not available there. I do not want to commit to a beverage package I probably will not use enough if Diet Coke is not an option. Anyone been on a Japan cruise and if so do they serve Diet Coke?

I have not yet been on a Japan cruise, but I lived in Japan for three years. I can’t remember exactly what it is called, but Japan does have a version of Diet Coke (that is NOT Coke Zero). It will be in the ‘traditional’ red and white can / bottle.
Also, on Celebrity, I have never had a problem getting Diet Coke. Hopefully someone here can help you with your ‘Japan’ cruise question.

Have a wonderful cruise; Japan is beautiful!

That would be the Coke Plus. It is like Diet Coke but they add dextrin (fiber) to it which for some can act as a laxitive. I do not want to experiment with it on a cruise. 😆

Correct.

And it definitely can have a laxative effect so don't treat it like Diet Coke and drink several cans in a single sitting.

You will regret it.
