Sailing from Sydney Australia

What  are your experiences  about Covid testing   before sailing out of Sydney Australia? The Princess information is dated February, not exactly current.

We departed from Sydney on October 23rd. There is no longer a requirement for covid testing. They scanned the qr code on the medallion app, checked passports and gave us our medallions. Well organized. We dropped our bags off at 10 am but check in did not begin until 11am.

Prior to a recently completed cruise from Auckland to Sydney we got an email on 29th August with below content:

"You love travel, and we love making it simple to fulfill those dreams. So we're happy to report that effective immediately, the requirements to join a cruise from Australia will now align with all other cruises globally without vaccination or pre-cruise testing requirements.

This protocol shift applies to itineraries to all destinations sailing to or from an Australian port."

 

When we boarded in Auckland it was an honesty system. Printed questions (about COVID exposure were there) and no onboard testing.

Where are you seeing this?  PCL removed the Covid protocol notices some time ago.  There is no Australia testing requirement.
