Just booked today. It’s father out but always fun to have something to look forward to!

Good morning! We have been invited to take this cruise with a group. We’re frequent cruisers on Princess and occasional on others, but it has been decades since our only Carnival voyage. Wondering about shipboard activities, especially on the many sea days. Do you have an example or two of daily newsletters you could post here?Looks like there are outdoor movies (and indoor?), and I’m sure the usual trivia, etc. Enrichment lectures? Classical music ensembles? Line dancing, etc.?

Thanks for any insights for somewhat sedentary 75-year-olds!

We booked today. Still wondering about the schedule of activities, because the booking agent asked when we want to dine. What time do we need to eat to catch the first show (entertainers)?

Thanks!

Barbara & Scott

I did a journeys cruise on the Venezia in October.  There was plenty to do on sea days.  Many themed trivias, some exceptional karaoke, afternoon as well as evening comedians doing family and adult shows, shows nightly in the theater around  7 and 9, game shows, bingo, a throwback day with games from back in the day, coffee talks with crew members, movies on the lido deck and some afternoon movies in the theater, sports on tvs in the sports bar, casino, morning stretch, dance classes, lots of varied musicians and singers performing afternoon and evening in different areas of the ship.  The cruise director was exceptional as well hosting themed functions throughout.  I’m not sure you could do early fixed seating in the dining room and still make the first show.  We’re Lido people and quick eaters so we’d go early show, late comedian or the opposite.  And when they say the comedian is doing an adult show, they mean it.  We had sea day brunch offered in the dining room on sea days as well.  That and the anytime dining uses an app to request a table and it tells you when your table is ready.  The Luminosa is like the Venezia so there will probably be smart elevators.  Push the floor you want and repeat for how many people you are.  There are no buttons inside the elevator so get on the one it tells you to, not the one that opens first.  This was a nightmare the first day because people were just crowding on anything that opened.  There’s a monitor playing the instructional film by the elevator banks.  By day 2, no waiting, no crowding.  I hope this is enough information.  I don’t keep the daily programs.

This website robandali.net have tons of Luminosa info and videos, they are also on YouTube. I’ve been on her twice this year for short 4 day trips in balcony cabins and really excited about the 29 day transpacific in April 2025. I also received a casino offer too good to refuse 😁

Morning all, Mal & Lex here from Cairns. We did the Seattle-Brisbane Luminosa transpacific in 2023 and enjoyed it so much we booked this cruise while we were still onboard. It’ll be great to only have a two-hour flight the night before a Journeys repo for a change… 😄👍🍻🍻🇦🇺

I hope everyone is doing good, and hope this roll call gets bigger?

I will be flying to Sydney a week before the cruise and spending 3 days there then taking a few days to explore the Gold Coast while driving up to Brisbane. Take care, Bob

Any card or game players on board?  There are two of us, we like settlers of catan, and card games.  Anybody know the ship and a good place to meet up?  Nine sea days to start.  I hope some of you are cool people, lol.

Hi, Lorraine and Danny from Hervey Bay, Queensland. We recently did a transpacific on Princess, via the South Pacific and Hawaii, 33 nights. It was our first long cruise and we loved it. Saw this one while we were still in Canada and had to book it! What a great itinerary!

Very happy to answer Australia, Brisbane etc questions if anyone has any! see you in 237 days!

I'm not a game player but will be traveling with two friends that LOVE Settlers.  We just chatted about this.  I will tell them to jump on-line.  They will be thrilled.
